The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has announced a revision of its service fees, which will come into effect on August 1, 2025. The update follows a comprehensive evaluation of economic conditions, increasing operational costs, and consultations with major stakeholders.

In a public notice seen by PUNCH Online on Tuesday, the CAC stated that the review aims to enhance the quality and efficiency of its services while aligning with evolving business demands and technological advancements in Nigeria.

According to the Commission, “In pursuit of better service delivery and digital transformation, the Commission has found it necessary to adjust certain fees starting from August 1, 2025. This follows careful assessment of prevailing economic factors and active engagement with stakeholders.”

The CAC emphasized that the revised pricing structure is moderate and competitively benchmarked to ensure the continued integrity and efficiency of Nigeria’s corporate registry.

The Commission further affirmed its dedication to transparency and customer satisfaction, noting that the new charges are structured to support sustainable service delivery and improved user experience.

Details of the updated fees can be found on the CAC’s official website: www.cac.gov.ng.

The new charges will impact various users of CAC services, including business owners, lawyers, compliance professionals, and others involved in post-incorporation filings and regulatory processes. The changes affect services for companies, limited partnerships, business names, and incorporated trustees.

  • A fee of N25,000 applies for restricting a director’s residential address.
  • Certified true copies (CTCs) of documents or extracts are now charged at N5,000 each.
