The revenue figures from the recent Ojude Oba 2025 festival have surfaced online, sparking widespread reactions across the internet.
This revelation came from Mr. Steeze, a key figure in the festival’s planning, during an interview with Obi Asika, the Director-General of the National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC).
According to Mr. Steeze, this year’s Ojude Oba was the most grand and heavily attended yet, with crowds surpassing the venue’s capacity.
In the interview, he explained that although he had partnered with Airtel in previous editions, he turned down endorsement deals this time to allow other families a chance to benefit.
“I’ll admit, a lot of the endorsement came towards me. I just turned them down and redirected them to other families,” he stated.
Mr. Steeze confirmed that the Ojude Oba 2025 festival generated over 2 billion naira.
In addition, a report from CNN claimed that $10 million was generated within Ijebu during the festivities.
“We generated over 2 billion, and according to CNN, over $10 million was generated within Ijebu,” he noted.
The Ojude Oba festival, held on June 8, 2025, was notably attended by several dignitaries, including the Governor of Ogun State, Dapo Abiodun, and the Minister of Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa.
