The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has officially announced the commencement of its Direct Short Service Course (DSSC) 34/2025 recruitment exercise, calling on qualified graduates across various professions to apply.
According to a statement released by NAF on its verified social media pages on Tuesday, the online application portal will be open from Wednesday, August 27, 2025, until Tuesday, October 7, 2025.
The Force emphasized that the application process is completely free of charge.

In a separate operation, at least 62 kidnapped victims in Katsina State regained their freedom after a decisive airstrike by the Nigerian Air Force dislodged bandits from their hideout in Jigawa Sawai, Danmusa Local Government Area.
Reports confirmed that the operation, which targeted the camp of a notorious bandit leader, Muhammadu Fulani, was carried out on Saturday near the Katsina–Zamfara border.
Katsina State Commissioner for Internal Security, Nasir Mu’azu, disclosed that the sudden assault forced the armed gang to flee, creating an opportunity for captives to escape.
Survivors narrated that the chaos allowed them to scatter in different directions, eventually regaining their freedom. Many of those rescued had been abducted on August 11 during a night raid on Sayaya village in Matazu LGA.
Authorities further revealed that Fulani’s group has been responsible for several violent attacks across Katsina and neighboring Kano State.
Mu’azu added that a quick-response Air Force wing has now been deployed to Matazu and Bakori LGAs to prevent further assaults.
With this recruitment drive and its ongoing operations against insecurity, the Nigerian Air Force continues to strengthen both its personnel capacity and its frontline defense against banditry and terrorism in the country.
