Hollywood actress and America’s Got Talent judge, Sofia Vergara, left fans concerned after revealing she was rushed to the emergency room with a sudden eye condition, forcing her to miss the 77th Primetime Emmy Awards on Sunday.
According to Daily Mail, the 53-year-old star was scheduled to present at the Emmys but couldn’t attend. From her hospital bed, Vergara shared the update with fans on Instagram, writing:
“Didn’t make it to the Emmys but made it to the ER. Sorry I had to cancel! Craziest eye [allergy] right before getting in the car!”
She also posted a video showing herself rinsing her eye using a medical faucet in an attempt to ease the irritation.
Following the news, celebrities and fans flooded her comment section with well wishes. Actor Terry Crews told her to “get well soon,” while rapper Snoop Dogg dropped praying hands emojis. Supermodel Linda Evangelista suggested she see a dermatologist, and other stars like DJ Diplo and Elizabeth Chambers also sent messages of love and support.
Despite the health scare, Vergara is now recovering and looking forward to celebrating her son Manolo’s 34th birthday later this week.
