Nigerian comedian I Go Save has once again captured public attention with his witty and thought-provoking commentary on this year’s Hallelujah Challenge, themed “Dress Like Your Miracle.”
Taking to his Instagram Story, the comedian shared a humorous yet reflective observation about how Nigerians interpreted the challenge’s theme. While many participants dressed to represent personal miracles such as marriage, financial breakthroughs, and new job opportunities, I Go Save noted that no one seemed to embody the idea of a “better Nigeria.”
He wrote:
“Dress like the miracle you want! And they really dressed to it? Nobody even dressed like a better Nigeria to pray for our dear nation 😂😂.”
Continuing in his trademark comic tone, he added:
“Most of our brain box don spoil for Nigeria.”
The Hallelujah Challenge, an online global worship movement led by gospel artist Nathaniel Bassey, has become a beloved annual event among Christians worldwide. The nightly praise sessions inspire believers to express faith, gratitude, and hope through music, prayer, and, this year, creative dress interpretations.
This year’s theme encouraged participants to “dress like their miracle,” prompting a wide range of symbolic outfits that showcased faith and aspirations. However, I Go Save’s comment added a deeper layer to the conversation—reminding Nigerians to channel their prayers not only toward personal success but also toward the collective healing and progress of the nation.
His post quickly sparked mixed reactions online, with many netizens applauding his boldness for using humor to deliver a message that resonates with Nigeria’s current socio-political challenges. Others joined the conversation, emphasizing the need for citizens to also “pray and work for a better Nigeria.”
As usual, I Go Save’s blend of comedy and consciousness continues to entertain while igniting meaningful dialogue on societal issues.
