Forbes Unveils 2025 Black Billionaires List: Aliko Dangote Tops With $23.9 Billion

Posted on August 23, 2025 By Clare Aririahu No Comments on Forbes Unveils 2025 Black Billionaires List: Aliko Dangote Tops With $23.9 Billion

Forbes has officially released its 2025 Black Billionaires List, spotlighting some of the wealthiest Black entrepreneurs, investors, and celebrities across the globe. Once again, Nigerian industrialist Aliko Dangote retains his title as the richest Black man in the world, with an impressive net worth estimated at $23.9 billion.

Dangote, who built his fortune through cement manufacturing, sugar, and other industrial ventures, continues to lead Africa’s wealth rankings and remains a global business powerhouse.

Following him closely on the list is David Steward, the American tech magnate behind IT giant World Wide Technology, with an estimated fortune of $11.4 billion. Private equity billionaire Robert F. Smith ranks next, holding $10.8 billion in assets, largely from his investments in Vista Equity Partners.

Nigeria is further represented by Mike Adenuga, founder of Globacom and an oil industry investor, who boasts a wealth of $6.8 billion, solidifying his spot among the world’s richest Black billionaires.

The 2025 edition also showcases figures from sports and entertainment. Basketball legend Michael Jordan continues to rise in wealth, securing a fortune of $3.5 billion, surpassing pop icon Rihanna, whose net worth stands at $1.4 billion, largely from her music career, beauty brand Fenty, and fashion ventures.

“Forbes’ 2025 Black Billionaires List highlights the growing influence and economic power of Black entrepreneurs and investors globally, spanning industries such as manufacturing, technology, private equity, sports, and entertainment,” the publication noted.

The ranking underscores not only financial success but also the transformative impact these billionaires have on industries, communities, and the global representation of Black wealth.
